Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data maxsymo.com handles, why, and what you can do about it. The site is small and so is the list.

1. Who is responsible

MaxSymo is run by one person, Shalev Saada. I am the controller of your data under the GDPR.

2. What I collect and why

When you send a message

The contact buttons open a form that asks for your first name, last name, email address and your message. You can also email me directly, in which case I receive the same things.

• I use it to answer you and, if we work together, to do the work and send invoices.
• What you send through the form is emailed to me and a copy is stored in this website's database on the hosting server.
• Legal basis: taking steps before a contract at your request, performing that contract, and my legitimate interest in answering messages.
• Enquiries that do not become a project are deleted within 12 months. Project correspondence and invoices are kept for 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires it.

Server logs

The hosting provider, Servers24, records technical data for each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to keep the site running and secure. Logs are kept only for the limited period Servers24 sets for its servers. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure website.

Fonts

The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.) and Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry). To deliver the font files, your browser sends those services your IP address. No cookies are set for this.

Cookies and analytics

The pages themselves set no cookies. The animations and the 3D camper run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere.

EDIT OR DELETE This site measures visits with Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It only runs after you accept in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice there at any time. Legal basis: your consent.

3. Who receives your data

I do not sell personal data and I do not share it for advertising. It is handled only by the services needed to run the site:

• Hosting: Servers24
• Fonts: Google Fonts and Fontshare, as described above

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens it is covered by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

4. Your rights

You can ask me to:

• show you the data I hold about you
• correct it or delete it
• restrict how I use it, or object to my using it
• send it to you in a format you can take elsewhere
• stop any processing that is based on your consent

Write to Info@maxsymo.com. I answer within one month and it costs nothing.

If you think I handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. I would appreciate the chance to fix it first.

5. Children

This site is for businesses. It is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

6. Changes to this policy

If the site starts handling data differently I will update this page and change the date at the top.
